Engr. Waseem Nazir took office as PEC Chairman on 7 September 2024. These are the first dated steps of the term.
Highlights
- 7 September (Item 1). Engr. Waseem Nazir (Civil-7687) took office as the elected Chairman of PEC for a three-year term.
- About 9 September (Item 2). He was welcomed by the Registrar and department heads. He said he wanted to raise the standing of PEC, keep his office open for “problem + solution”, and have no workplace politics (APP).
- 26 September (Item 3). At the first Governing Body meeting of the term, members worked in groups of about 10 on reforms and industry challenges. It was described as a first in PEC history.
- Late September (Item 4). Early reports described a more open working culture at PEC, including the first display of the vision, mission and CARE values at the Secretariat entrance and in regional offices.
